Prime Minister Brigadier (Ret'd) Mark Phillips has affirmed the government's unwavering support for the development of Bartica and the entire Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) in Guyana. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Bartica Easter Regatta 2023, Phillips labelled the event as the "signature tourist event" in the region, and pledged continuous government support for it and other similar activities. Phillips also highlighted the significant budgetary allocations made by the People's Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) administration towards the comprehensive vision for the transformation of the region, and assured residents that Bartica and Region Seven were integral parts of the country's development plans.
